The climate of Chickmaglur is very pleasant and can be visited during any time of the year. But the most ideal time to visit Chickmaglur is between September and March. With the onset of the monsoons in June, the entire region turns into thriving green. The glory of many waterfalls can best be seen during July – September. The climatic condition of Chickmaglur is moderate. Summers are reasonably warmer at 25-35 degrees Celsius. Winters are also pleasantly cool at 15-20 degrees Celsius. However during December to February, the minimum temperature may dip to 9°C.

One can witness heavy rainfall in the months of June, July & August. During this season the weather is generally humid.
