An exceptionally beautiful hill station named after King Krishna Rajendra Wodeyar IV, it is one of the best trekking spots among the lush forests of the Baba Budangiri hills - it offers panoramic views, senic waterfalls & lovely sunset views.

Hebbe Falls
An 8 Km trek from Kemmangundi, along a steep and arrow path, leads you to Hebbe Falls. Surrounded by dense forests and coffee plantations, the water gushes down from 165 metres in two stages to form 'Dodda Hebbe' (big falls) & Chikka Hebbe (small falls).

Kalahatti Falls
Approx 10 km from Kemmanagundi, and also known as 'Kalahasti Falls', the water here cascades down from 122 m from the top of Chandra Drona Hill to flow before the Veerabhaddreshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

A place to watch sunsets.

Shivagiri Trails
The view from Shiva Giri,about 50 km Chickmagalur, & located above the forests of 'Yemedoddi' is spectacular - provides an awesome view of the river 'Bhadra' and the 'Lakkavalli Dam'.

The Yemmedoddi forests were once the favoured hunting grounds of the British - tigers, panthers, sloth bear, deer are sighted here.

Bhadra Wildlife Sancturay
30 km northwest of Chickmaglur - the 31/2 km 'Nature Trail' at Muthodi, is walk through a patch of captivating lush deciduous forest offers an exciting & diverse range of wildlife and is a special attraction at Bhadra.

Kudremukh (Horse Race)
95 km south west of Chikmaglur, overlooks the Arabian sea - is a trekkers paradise, rich with verdant forests, rivers, grassy slopes, waterfalls, rare flora and caves ancient ruins.

The Baba Budan Range
28 Km north of Chickmaglur town, Baba Budan Range gets its name from the muslim sage Baba Budan, who is believed to have introduced coffee to India. The range has one of the highest peaks between the Himalayas and the Niligiris. The highest point is 'Mullaiyangiri' - 1900 m & has 3 caves, sanctified by 3 sages & contain their icons & tombs. A sacred centre, 'Seethala Mallikarjuna' near a cave, and a mutt lends the place a mystic touch.

Near Baba Budangiri peak are the 3 famous waterfalls - Gada Theertha, Kamana Theertha and Nellikayi Theertha.
