The climate of Coorg is very pleasant and can be visited during any time of the year. But the most ideal time to visit Coorg is between September and March. With the onset of the monsoons in June, the entire region turns into thriving green. The glory of many seasonal waterfalls and the Cauvery flowing in all her majesty can best be seen during July - September, this draws millions of tourists to Coorg.

The climatic condition of Coorg is moderate. Summers are reasonably warmer at 25-35 degrees Celsius. Winters are also pleasantly cool at 15-20 degrees Celsius. However during December to February, the minimum temperature may dip to 9°C.

One can witness heavy rainfall in the months of June, July & August. During this season the weather is generally humid.
