Close to the Nagarhole wild life sanctuary, located on 300 acres amidst emerald rice fields and lush coffee and pepper plantations,lies a sprawling and spacious many bedroom estate home. Established over a century ago , it is now a luxurious home stay called the “Skanda Homestay ” and is a perfect mix of modern comfort and charm reminiscent of the old Plantation lifestyle. It retains the character of its original structure and is designed for the traveler who wants to experience the same. This estate home has played host to distinguished guests like Lord Baden Powell, Acharya Vinobha Bhave, John Galbraith and Pearl S Buck, to name a few.

Activities at resort
Enjoy long walks or trekking or cycling through the sprawling plantation and see how coffee is grown.

Angling in one of the many lakes that are richly stocked with a variety of fish. For the more adventurous, the famous Mahseers and Trout swim in the Cauvery River, just a short distance from the estate.

Bird watching – you can spot upto 300 species of birds.
